Evergreen shrub from the group of grandiflorum rhododendrons with a dense, erect habit, reaching 1.8 m in height after ten years of cultivation. Leaves are elongated, leathery and mat dark green. Creates spherical, magnificent inflorescences at the tops of shoots composed of several white, funnel-shaped flowers, with pink buds. The top petal of each flower is decorated with brown-orange spots. Golden pollen bags suspended on white strands of stamens are visible in the center of each flower.
The shrub requires acidic soils, preferably humus, peat, having a pH in the range 3.5-4.5, constantly moist, partially shaded positions. Good frost resistance (zone 5b).The shrub is recommended for growing in home gardens, parks and urban greenery.
