Luc Béhar-Bannelier grew up in southern France and studied landscaping at Ryerson University in Toronto, Canada. He worked 20 years as a landscape architect. As Director of Nature & Environment of Disneyland Paris, his responsibilities included finalizing the Landscape construction of all the resorts as well as the set-up of the pre-opening Landscape construction management. He developed the organizational system to maintain the largest Theme and Resort Park in Europe, and established a well-tuned management system –“human” as well as sustainable in an ecological and economic aspect. The challenge was nothing less than to develop the Disneyland Paris site. For 2 complete years and together with 17 landscaping companies, he built what would become the most beautiful European themed garden of over 2000 hectares (with 35 000 trees, 6 000 km of irrigation pipes, 450 000 bushes and 1000000 flowers).
