GREEN IS LIFE 2024 STATISTICS
The International GREEN IS LIFE Trade Fair 2024 took place from September 5–7 at EXPO XXI Warsaw, drawing the attention of the horticultural industry worldwide. Under the theme “Discover the Power of Synergy,” the event brought together hundreds of exhibitors and thousands of visitors, solidifying its status as one of the most important events for the green industry in Central and Eastern Europe. Record Numbers of Exhibitors and Visitors at GREEN IS LIFE 2024
The GREEN IS LIFE Trade Fair attracted 9,588 visitors, including 5,616 professionals—a 5.5% increase compared to 2023. Guests from 42 countries representing all continents attended the event, with the largest international delegations coming from Lithuania, Ukraine, and Latvia.
On the exhibitors’ side, the fair hosted 172 companies from Poland and six other countries: Belgium, France, Germany, Italy, the Netherlands, and Hungary. The number of exhibitors grew by 8% compared to last year, and the offering was so extensive that, for the first time in several years, the event expanded into two halls at EXPO XXI.
Who Were the Professional Visitors?
The largest group of professional attendees consisted of plant producers, accounting for 29.94% of all participants. Other key groups included:
- Landscape architects and green space designers (24.53%),
- Retail representatives, including garden centers, shops, and markets (12.54%),
- Public administration officials, property managers, and municipal representatives (5.80%),
- Floral industry specialists, including florists and sellers of cut flowers and potted plants (3.08%).
Side Events: Education and Industry Development
The trade fair was not just about the exhibition itself. Approximately 1,800 people participated in side events such as conferences, seminars, and workshops. Among them:
- Green City Power Conference: Attended by 545 participants, focusing on urban green solutions in the face of climate change.
- Knowledge for Trade and Producers Seminar: Drew 391 participants interested in new trends in marketing and selling horticultural products.
- Garden Creators’ Meeting: Welcomed 502 enthusiasts and professionals involved in garden design and creation.
International Diversity and Impact on the Industry
The GREEN IS LIFE Trade Fair served as a platform for cross-cultural encounters and knowledge exchange. Visitors came from countries as far-flung as the USA, Canada, Qatar, South Africa, Sri Lanka, Japan, South Korea, and China. The event was also honored by the presence of H.E. Sun Linjiang, Ambassador of the People’s Republic of China to Poland.
With such a diverse group of participants, GREEN IS LIFE not only promotes the Polish nursery and horticultural industry globally but also fosters new opportunities for collaboration and growth.
