Our Speakers

Paweł Barszczak

Paweł Barszczak

Company: Betmar

Paweł Barszczak will present unusual concrete vegetable pots. These structures are nothing more than modular plant pots. High-strength concrete – C50/60 – is used for their production, while the structure of your choice – wood, travertine, stone or brick – can be achieved during the production phase. Plant pots come in many shapes and sizes, so they can be tailored to individual needs and preferences. They are not only durable but also weatherproof, which means they are more cost-effective to install than vegetable gardens made of wood or plastic. This is a great solution to start growing your vegetables or herbs. Paweł Barszczak will demonstrate how to assemble vegetable gardens, the different module arrangements and how to create interesting arrangements in the garden.

In his presentation, he will talk about: why it is worth using specially prepared soil substrates in terrace pots, how plant roots breathe and what processes take place under the soil surface. Why the use of excavated soil, so-called humus, and shoddily produced mixtures of natural soil and aggregate (so-called garden soil) risks costly repairs and exploitation, but often leads to the death of plants.
